About eduroam

Eduroam (EDUcation ROAMing) is an international project supporting user mobility in academic networks. It allows users to connect to primarily wi-fi networks of all participating organisations. More information about the eduroam project can be found on the top-level portal eduroam and the national eduroam portal.

Connecting via your eduroam identity on the HEI network should be fully automatic. If you have problems connecting, then first check your settings to make sure they match the technical and security parameters used at the VŠPJ. Still not sure? Contact technical support.

• SSID: eduroam
• Technology: 802.11b/g/n
• Frequency band: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
• Authentication: 802.1x
• Security: WPA2
• Encryption: AES

Network limitations at the VŠPJ

• Only IPv4 is supported,
• IPv4 address is assigned using DHCP,
• addresses in the range 10.82.0.0/16 are assigned,
• ports 25, 135, 137, 138, 139, 445 are blocked,
• peer to peer networking is not allowed.
